The Annual Meeting of Coastal Credit Union is called for 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Coastal’s headquarters located at 1000 St. Albans Drive, Raleigh, North Carolina. All members are welcomed to attend. Our Annual Meeting is an important event for the credit union, as member participation is what sets cooperatives like ours apart from other types of businesses. We hope to see you there.
One of the items on the agenda will be the election of two (2) members of the Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee has nominated the following members to fill the upcoming vacancies.
• Joan Nelson
• William Smith
Nominations for vacancies may also be made by a petition signed by 500 Coastal members. Petitions must be accompanied by a signed certificate from the nominee(s) stating that they are agreeable to nomination and will serve if elected to office, and a statement of qualifications and biographical data. Nominations by petition must be submitted to the Board Secretary of Coastal Credit Union at 1000 St. Albans Drive, Raleigh, NC 27609 no later than 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Members must be at least 18 years of age by the date of the Annual Meeting in order to sign nominating petitions, hold office or vote in the election.
If the number of nominees equals the number of positions to be filled, the election will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor. In all other cases, the election will be by ballot and determined by plurality vote.
